주님과 하나된 주의 종 (The Servant with the Lord)

주님께서 최고의 가치를 위한 일군으로 부른 자들이 있다. 주님의 마음으로 복음을 전하는 주의 종들이다. 한 사람의 영혼의 가치가 천하보다 더 크고 귀하다. 사람이 할 수 있는 일들 중에서 죄로 타락한 자의 영혼을 구원하는 이 일보다 더 크고 귀한 일은 없음을 알기에 모든 것을 배설물로 여긴 자들이 주의 종들이다 (빌 3:8, 롬 5:12). 주의 종은 크고 많은 일에 대한 꿈보다 주님과 하나됨에 대한 본질에 충실해야 한다. 코로나 사태로 사람들과 거리두기를 할 때 주님과 친밀한 시간을 더 많이 갖는 기회로 삼아야 한다. 올해 들어 내 제자 중의 한 목사는 42일 마다 성경을 통독하여 지금 여덟 번째 읽는 중 이란다. 지혜로운 선택이고 준비된 자의 하나님에 대한 믿음이다. 하나님은 준비된 만큼 채우시고 준비된 만큼 들어쓰신다. 주님 닮은 주의 종은 현상에 집착하지 않고 본질에 집착한다. 주님과 하나된 주의 종이어야 주님과 함께 새 일을 행하게 된다(사 43:18~21).

There are people whom the Lord has called as His workers for the highest values. They are the servants of the Lord who preach the gospel with the heart of the Lord. The value of one's soul is greater and more precious than the world. It is the Lord's servants who regard all things as garbage, knowing that there is nothing greater and valuable than this work of saving the souls of those who have fallen by sin (Philippians 3:8, Romans 5:12). The Lord's servant should be faithful to the nature of oneness with God rather than the dream of big and a number of things to catch. When we practice social distancing due to coronavirus, we should use it as an opportunity to have more intimate time with the Lord. This year, one of my former students reads the entire Bible every 42 days and is now reading the eighth time. It is a wise choice and a prepared person's faith in God. God fills as much as is prepared and uses as much as is prepared. The Lord's servant, who resembles Christ, does not cling to the environment, but to the solid foundation, the relationship with Him. Only the servants of the Lord who are one with the Lord will do new things with the Lord (Isaiah 43:18~21).
