지금 우리는 AI 시대에 살고 있다. AI란 Artificial Intelligence의 약자로 그 뜻은'인공지능'이다. 무엇이든지 AI에게 물어보면 전문지식들로 알려준다 .그러나 우리 그리스도인들이 반드시 기억해야 할 것이 있다.

인공지능에는 영감(Inspiration)이 없다. 예수님께서 우리들에게 하신 모든 말씀들은 다 영이요 생명이시다(요6:63). 우리 인간은 영혼을 가진 영적인 존재이기 때문에 이성적이고 합리적이며 과학적인 것에 근거한 일반적인 지식만으로는 살아 계신 하나님과 함께할 수가 없다.

유대교의 랍비들은 십계명의 구체적인 실천방안으로 613개 조항을 만들었다. 그중에 246개 조항은 긍정적 실천방안들이고 367개 조항은 하지말아야 할 조항들이었다.

하지만 그들은 남을 가르치기는 하지만 자신들은 지키지 않았다. 그래서 주님께서는 제자들에게 그들의 행위는 본받지 말라고 하신것이다(마23:3).

사람 중심의 세상 지식과 지혜로는 영이신 하나님께서 하시는 일들을 이해할 수 없다. 

전에 어느 초등학교 2학년 교실에서 있었던 일이다. 담임선생님이 학생들에게 성경 이야기를 했다. 강한동풍에 의해 바다 가운대로 길이 난것이 아니라 갈대가 쓰러져서 없던 길이 생겨난 것이라고 말을 한것이다. 그때에 교회를 다니던 한 여학생이 손을 들고 말했다 '그러데 선생님, 어떻게 많은 애굽의 병거들과 말들 그리고 그 병사들이 다 죽었어요?'라고 묻자 선생님은 ‘그것은 사람이 그렇게 쓴것이라고 했다는 것이다.

하나님께서 하시는 일들 중에는 초과학적인 일들이 많다. 인간의 이성적으로는 이해할 수가 없다. 인공지능은 영적인 존재가 아니다.

우리 그리스도인들은 말을 탄 자가 그 말을 지배하듯이 인공지능을 지배하되 그것에 매이는 종이 되어서는 안 된다. 종말 시대에 나타날 징조들 중에 하나인 지식의 발달로 신앙생활에 방해가 되지 않게 하는 지혜가 있어야 한다. 천지는 변하여도 주님의 말씀은 영원하다.

In the Age of AI

Today we are living in the age of AI. AI is the abbreviation for Artificial Intelligence. No matter what we ask AI, it provides us with a wealth of specialized knowledge and information. However, there is something that we Christians must always remember.

Artificial intelligence has no inspiration. Everything Jesus spoke to us is spirit and life (John 6:63). Human beings are spiritual beings with eternal souls. Therefore, rational, logical, and scientific knowledge alone is not enough for us to walk with the living God.

Jewish rabbis developed 613 commandments as practical applications of the Ten Commandments. Among them, 246 were positive commands describing what should be done, and 367 were negative commands describing what should not be done.

However, although they taught others, they did not practice what they preached. Therefore, the Lord told His disciples not to imitate their actions (Matthew 23:3). The knowledge and wisdom of this world, centered on human reasoning, cannot fully understand the works of God, who is Spirit.

Some time ago, an incident took place in a second-grade elementary school classroom. The homeroom teacher was telling the students a Bible story. The teacher explained that the Red Sea did not part because God performed a miracle, but rather that a strong east wind caused the reeds to fall over, creating a path through the water.

At that moment, a young girl who attended church raised her hand and asked, "But teacher, then how did all of the Egyptian chariots, horses, and soldiers die?"

The teacher replied, "That is simply the way people wrote the story."

There are many works of God that are beyond scientific explanation. They cannot be fully understood through human reason alone. Artificial intelligence is not a spiritual being.

As Christians, we should rule over artificial intelligence just as a rider controls a horse. We should use it wisely, but we must never become slaves to it.

One of the signs of the last days is the rapid increase of knowledge. Therefore, we must have the wisdom to ensure that the advancement of knowledge does not become a hindrance to our walk with God.

Though heaven and earth may pass away, the Word of the Lord endures forever.
